Mechanicsville, VA Newborn Photographer | Abigail

Newborn photography is my passion. Moving to the Short Pump area of Glen Allen,VA made it possible to have my own studio attached right to my house.  I am thrilled that I can offer clients an escape for a few hours while I take their sweet baby and they can kick their feet up and rest while enjoying tv, beverages, and snacks.  They are also more than welcome to just catch up on some much needed sleep if they choose to.

Abigail’s sweet parents needed a break, whether they would tell me so or not, I knew they did.  Abigail’s mom was having quite a rough time recovering from delivery… so much so that we pushed the newborn session back quite a bit.  Abigail’s dad had been taking on all the extra work taking care of both baby and mom.  This couple is especially dear to me.  I photographed them for a Maternity Session and simply fell in love with them.  They are so kind and sweet.  They are from South Africa and their accents simply woo me.  It means the world to me when I can walk away from a photo session knowing that I have just gained dear friends.

These are my dear friends and their special new bundle of joy, Abigail.  We scheduled an evening session due to Dad’s work schedule (not something that I normally do but I was hoping to make it out to a field at sunset) and these sweet people were incredibly patient as hour after hour passed and the night grew later.  We finally wrapped up around 9:00PM and I think all of us were exhausted… but the pictures are totally worth it all!
